Additional Information about uploading pictures:
 
It is best to resize the car pictures on your PC before doing the upload process. This makes the pictures much clearer when they are displayed on the website. The best size is 400 pixels wide. The height should be proportional to the original picture, so in most resizing tools, you can specify only the width as 400 pixels and let the height default to correct corresponding size.
 
If you make a mistake or don't like the way a picture looks, there is a Delete Photo function which does a 'soft delete' on any picture so that it no longer displays for your car. You can also undelete a picture that you have previously deleted.
 
Be advised that any picture that is offensive, contains nudity, or is considered inappropriate can be removed by the administrator of this website. Removed pictures cannot be undeleted by the users.
The web administrator has a picture review function that allows him to see the latest uploaded pictures and any delete/undelete actions taken on pictures.
 
Car pictures can be viewed from a number of different screens in this website. The Registry's List By Year function will list each VIN as a link to that car's View Car web page where the car's set of pictures are displayed. Note that if a certain VIN has pictures uploaded for it, there will be a small camera icon below the VIN number for that row.
 
This is also true for any Statistics link result (where the user clicks on any value in a statistics table of row counts). One of the new Statistics found in the Basic Car Statistics web page is a row count of cars with pictures versus those without pictures.If the user clicks on the statistic of 'cars with pictures' this will bring up a list of all the cars in the registry that have had one or more pictures uploaded for it.
 
Also, the VIN is a link in any of the car rows visible in the Search Registry results screen.
